Spectrum IT Recruitment in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Software Engineering Manager to lead an embedded software team in Southampton. You will balance technical leadership with people management, shaping engineering practices and driving on-time delivery of complex software from concept to release.

You will mentor engineers, define standards, collaborate across disciplines, and ensure performance-critical systems meet high standards.

Formación

Experience leading software engineering teams, preferably in embedded environments.
Strong background in C/C++, embedded software development and architecture.
Familiarity with CI/CD practices, agile workflows and development planning.

Responsabilidades

Lead, mentor and develop a team of software engineers.
Define and evolve software engineering standards and design approaches.
Provide technical leadership across the development lifecycle from architecture to release.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to hit milestones on time.
Oversee wireless communication software across heterogeneous platforms.
Act as technical contact for customers, gather requirements and resolve challenges.
Support career development and knowledge sharing within the team.
