Company & Role

Hexwired Recruitment has partnered with a pioneering space‑tech company based in London, seeking a Lead Electronics Engineer to support their next‑gen products. The company has already launched its first products and is scaling fast to meet client demand.

Responsibilities

Lead end‑to‑end electronics design, from concept through flight, including power, control, imaging, and high‑speed data systems. Provide hands‑on board level design, schematic capture, layout, simulation and testing, and manage hardware bring‑up and testing phases.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of experience in PCB and hardware development (digital & analogue)
  • Hands‑on experience with schematic capture, layout, simulation and testing
  • Familiarity with interfaces: SPI, I2C, RS422, USB, MIPI/CSI‑2, PCIe, Ethernet, LVDS
  • Experience with FPGAs, image sensors, microcontrollers, and power electronics
  • Background in aerospace, automotive, or other high‑reliability systems preferred
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a dynamic start‑up environment
Compensation & Benefits

Offered salary of circa £65K depending on experience, with a competitive benefits package including pension, private healthcare, and flexible/remote working. This is a hybrid role; lab access is required for hardware bring‑up and testing phases.
