Job summary

UHS Estates Ltd. (UEL) in Southampton invites applications for an Electrical Technician. You'll maintain safety, reliability and performance of the Trust's buildings, plant and equipment, working in a hospital environment.

The role requires fault-finding, planned maintenance and occasional installation work within your electrical discipline. You'll supervise staff and contractors as needed, ensuring compliance with safe systems of work and building services standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified to HNC/HND level in electrical, mechanical engineering or building field or equivalent experience.
• Recent experience in a maintenance environment with safe system of work procedures.
• Specialist training in electrical, mechanical or fabric services with fault-finding, inspection and commissioning.
• Experience supervising staff and contractors with leadership qualities.
• Experience with Building Management Systems and energy management.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, plans and specifications.
• Experience in NHS or similar government organisation desirable.

• Undertake complex fault-finding, repairs, planned maintenance and installation work.
