Job summary

Egis is recruiting for a Lead Electrical/EICA Engineer to drive design delivery across major UK water projects. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, shape design strategies and ensure robust technical outputs for wastewater and water treatment initiatives.

You will mentor engineers, support recruitment and contribute to bids, with a hybrid working model across London, Bristol and Manchester. Leadership in digital-enabled delivery is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level or higher engineering degree (BEng/MEng or equivalent).
• Chartered Engineer or Incorporated Engineer with a relevant institution.
• 7–10+ years of relevant water/wastewater, utilities, process, energy or infrastructure design experience.
• Proven ability to lead as discipline/senior technical lead on multidisciplinary projects.
• Strong understanding of UK water industry standards, CDM 2015, safety-by-design and regulatory drivers.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary interfaces and resolving complex technical issues.
• Strong digital mindset with modelling, automation, data analysis or model-based workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead discipline design delivery on multidisciplinary water/wastewater projects across full design lifecycle.
• Act as discipline technical lead on projects, owning design strategy, interfaces and risk management.
• Review and approve discipline deliverables including calculations, reports and drawings.
• Coordinate Process, Mechanical, EICA, civil/structural and construction inputs into practical treatment solutions.
• Lead technical workshops, value engineering, design reviews and client engagements.
• Promote lean and digitally enabled delivery through simulation and reusable tools/templates.
• Provide technical assurance and support project managers on risk, scope and resourcing.
• Mentor and manage engineers and support chartership progression.
• Contribute to business development, bids and client proposals.
