Location: Filton (60% onsite)
Contract Duration: Until December 2026 (with possible extension)
Pay Rate:

  • £50.00 per hour (Umbrella)
  • £37.38 per hour (PAYE)
About the Role

Carbon60's aerospace client has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Lead Electrical Design Engineer to support the development of a new control bench for a large hydromechanical test installation. You will be a key part of a multi-disciplinary team responsible for delivering the full electrical design lifecycle - from initial architecture development through to validation, verification, and entry into service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the electrical design for a complex avionic control bench.
  • Develop and contribute to system architecture and integration activities.
  • Produce detailed electrical schematics, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Manage technical design risks and design milestones (FCR, FDR, PDR, CDR).
  • Oversee build, installation, and assembly of the control bench.
  • Lead the V&V phase and ensure successful entry into service.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to clarify requirements and meet delivery targets.
