National Grid Interface is seeking a Lead EHV Commissioning Engineer to own the end-to-end commissioning of a 275kV XLPE cable system on one of the UK's largest net zero projects in Teesside.
You will be the commissioning authority on this project: responsible for strategy, programme, test regime, the National Grid interface, and the signature on the handover pack, working with OEMs, principal contractors and specialist testing providers.
Teesside | £800-£1,300 per day, [outside IR35] | 6-month contract
There are maybe a hundred people in the UK who have taken a transmission-class cable system from ITP to energisation and signed it off. If you're one of them, this is the kind of contract you take for the CV as much as the rate.
