Job description

Traksure PTY LTD is seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Draftsman to join our team in Welshpool, Western Australia. As the Lead Draftsman, you will play a crucial role in providing high‑quality drafting services and technical support to our Engineering department. Traksure has a world‑class manufacturing facility in China as well as a local manufacturing facility in Welshpool. We are seeking an experienced Draftsperson for a full‑time position to work alongside our sales and engineering team as well as our China‑based manufacturing team. The role will also require some internal sales support managing purchase orders and timelines.

What you'll be doing

• Responsible for all Perth drafting requirements in support of our sales and engineering teams
• Prepare detailed engineering drawings and models using Autodesk (AutoCAD and Inventor preferred)
• Collaborate with the sales team to interpret design specifications and translate them into accurate technical drawings
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and company policies
• Manage the review and approval of drafting deliverables
• Contribute to product innovation and improvements
• Internal sales assistance

What we're looking for

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering Drafting or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Draftsman or Senior Draftsman in an engineering or manufacturing environment
• Proficient in the use of CAD software, such as AutoCAD and Inventor
• Strong understanding of engineering principles, technical specifications, and industry standards
• Excellent attention to detail and problem‑solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with other teams
• Knowledge/experience of the conveyor industry is preferred
