Lead Document Controller

What You'll Be Doing
  • Lead and manage Document Control across all SPT projects, including team leadership and ownership of the Document Management System (DMS).
  • Mentor and coordinate document controllers, ensuring consistent processes; chair monthly meetings and support appraisals, reviews, and objective setting.
  • Act as the primary contact for the DMS: manage access, training, communication, issue resolution, and system development.
  • Serve as SME for future DMS replacement: define requirements and evaluate solutions.
  • Conduct internal document inspections to maintain compliance and resolve issues.
  • Deliver onboarding, inductions, and training for new team members.
  • Represent SPT Projects on the Cambuslang Office Depot Management Team.
What You'll Bring
  • Proven leadership and team management experience.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and interpersonal skills.
  • Expertise in Document Management Systems (e.g., ACC Autodesk, BIM 360) and document control procedures.
  • Experience managing documentation across multiple projects.
  • Strong analytical, reporting, and MS Office/database skills.
  • Quality auditing qualification; ISO 9001 experience (ISO 19650/BIM desirable).
  • Ability to work proactively and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
