Job summary

A healthcare service provider in Hull and East Yorkshire is seeking a Lead Dental Nurse to support clinic operations and assist with complex dental treatments. The ideal candidate must be well organized with strong dental nursing skills, excellent communication, and the ability to work well under pressure. Qualifications in Dental Radiography or Sedation are advantageous. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to patient care in a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

  • Qualified in Dental Radiography and/or Dental Sedation is an advantage.

Job Summary

Community Dental Services is recruiting a Lead Dental Nurse to work at the Morrill Street Health Centre. The role involves supporting the Practice Manager with daily clinic operations and assisting Dental Clinicians with complex dental treatments for patients referred to the service.

Responsibilities
  • Support Dental Clinicians in delivering complex dental treatments and keep patients and/or their appropriate adult involved in treatment options.
  • Assist the Practice Manager with the day‑to‑day running of the clinic, ensuring all policies and procedures are followed by staff.
  • Take a lead role in ordering and maintaining appropriate stock levels, and complete daily/weekly checks of all emergency equipment and any faults escalated.
  • Adhere rigorously to IP&C guidelines in line with HTM01‑05 and file all appropriate paperwork to support this.
  • Provide support to reception and balance payments daily when necessary.
  • Utilise Dental Radiography and/or Dental Sedation skills throughout the clinic when support in that area is required (if qualified).
