About the Role

We are looking for a Lead Delivery Coordinator to join our Wakefield Equipment and Wheelchair Service. This is a new role that has been created to strengthen leadership presence, improve operational efficiency, and ensure all teams work cohesively to deliver outstanding service across the Wakefield district.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who combines exceptional people management skills with strong operational expertise in logistics or equipment delivery within a health or social care setting.

What You’ll Be Doing

As Lead Delivery Coordinator, you will lead and motivate a team to deliver essential health and social care equipment across the district. You’ll manage staff performance and wellbeing, foster a positive work environment, and drive continuous improvement by streamlining processes and enhancing productivity.

The role includes coordinating delivery and collection services, responding to urgent requests to support hospital discharges, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. While primarily a leadership position, you’ll also provide hands‑on support with installations and demonstrations when needed, maintaining operational excellence in stock control, warehouse duties, and audits.
