The Company: Lorien are working with a leading technology driven organisation scaling its data operations to support mission‑critical platforms. They’re looking for a Lead Database Administrator to own the technical direction, architecture, and roadmap for their database estate while mentoring a talented, growing team.

The Role: This is a senior technical leadership role combining hands‑on engineering with strategic influence. You will define standards, drive technical decisions, and lead the evolution of database operations toward modern DevOps practices. Acting as the lead technical authority, you will guide a keen but developing team, coaching them to work collaboratively and confidently. You will be at the centre of architectural decisions, ensuring environments are secure and scalable. The role spans infrastructure, automation, and reliability engineering, with a strong emphasis on CI/CD and operational maturity.

Skill Requirements

We’re looking for candidates with a blend of the following:
