Job summary

Harnham is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to shape and lead a growing AI business from central London. You’ll guide a small team while staying hands-on on complex ML and analytics projects, defining modelling standards and aligning data science with product, engineering and commercial goals.

You’ll deliver forecasting, segmentation and propensity models, own end-to-end ML workflows, MLOps, and production-ready AI solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a Data Science team and delivering ML product outcomes.
• Ability to translate analytical outputs into commercial recommendations.
• Hands-on ML delivery alongside leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the Data Science function, defining standards, frameworks and ways of working.
• Manage, mentor and develop a team of 2 Data Scientists, under the CTO.
• Deliver advanced forecasting, customer segmentation and propensity modelling projects.
• Own end-to-end model development, validation, deployment and MLOps processes.
• Partner with Product, Engineering and Client teams to deliver production-ready Machine Learning solutions.
• Translate analytical outputs into actionable commercial recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Drive adoption of AI tooling, LLMs and AI-assisted workflows across the function.
