Job summary

RedCat Digital in Greater London is seeking a seasoned Head of Data Science to lead our growing analytics team and drive data-driven decision making. You will own ML model development and shape data strategy across the business.

You will mentor staff, champion Python, PySpark and cloud platforms (Azure Synapse, Data Lake, Data Factory), and translate insights into scalable solutions while managing stakeholders effectively.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in ML model development.
• Extensive experience with Python, SQL, ETL pipelines and PySpark.
• Strong understanding of cloud data solutions and architectures.
• Experience with Synapse, Azure Data Lake and Azure Data Factory.
• Proven track record leading a Data Science team.
• Experience delivering automated decision-making systems at scale.
• Strong commercial and financial acumen.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Genuine enthusiasm for Data Science and active community involvement.

Salary: £65,000 - 105,000 per year

Requirements:

• Strong hands-on experience in ML model development


• Extensive experience with Python, SQL, ETL pipelines, and PySpark


• Proficient understanding of cloud data solutions and principles


• Experience with Synapse, Azure Data Lake, and Azure Data Factory


• Proven experience of running a Data Science team


• Proven experience of designing and delivering an automated decision-making system at scale

• Excellent stakeholder management skills
