Job summary

Adria Solutions Ltd is seeking a hands-on Lead Data Engineer to own the data platform, guiding BI, Data Science and Applied AI initiatives within the organisation. You will modernise our SQL Server, SSIS/SSDT and Power BI environment while building scalable batch and real-time data-processing capabilities and leading a small data engineering team.

• Experience building and operating complete data platforms.
• Strong SQL and Python skills.
• Experience with AWS data services and lakehouse architectures.
• Leadership of a small data engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability, security and ongoing development of the data platform.
• Modernise the SQL Server, SSIS/SSDT and Power BI environment.
• Develop scalable batch and real-time data-processing solutions.
• Lead the design of a Customer Data Platform.
• Build and evolve a lakehouse architecture using AWS technologies.
• Create governed semantic models and clear data definitions.
• Enable secure, self-service data analysis using AI tooling.
• Automate manual data processes and support BI/Data Science teams.
• Line-manage and develop the Data Engineering team.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across technical and business units.
