Job Title: Lead Data Engineer - Microsoft Fabric

Location: Home-based with travel to client site or Columbus offices as required

Salary: Negotiable (We aim to improve your current package)

Bonus: Yes

Holiday: 25 Days, Plus Bank Holidays (Increasing with Service)

Medical Insurance: Yes (terms apply) plus additional HealthCashback Plan

Hours: Full time (36.5 hpw)

Travel/Expenses: A car is required for travel to client sites - expensed at 45p per mile from home address (excluding travel to any Columbus Office within 35mi)

The role of Lead Data Engineer - Microsoft Fabric

We seek an experienced Data Engineer to implement data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, including developing and managing data pipelines, data analysis, and data visualization. You will collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, deliver solutions, provide expertise on best practices, and engage in pre-sales activities by presenting technical solutions to clients.

Travel and Hybrid Working

Our environment offers flexibility for work-life balance, whether working from home or at one of our offices across the UK. Travel to client sites and overnight stays are expected based on project needs, with planned time within 2-week blocks. We encourage team members to visit the office at least once a month, with locations coordinated for team meetings. You may work from Nottingham HQ or any Cubo office regularly if preferred.

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Cloud
  • Proficiency in data engineering, analysis, and visualization (e.g., Power BI)
  • Strong understanding of enterprise-scale solutions architecture
  • Leadership skills to guide a team of engineers
  • Ability to manage projects and collaborate effectively
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Full driver’s license and access to a vehicle
  • Curiosity and a desire to challenge the status quo
