Lead Data Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Lead Data Engineer to join a London based global law firm on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable, cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).
• Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines for structured and unstructured data.
• Deliver dashboards and reports using Power BI.
• Lead a small team of data engineers and analysts.
• Support AI/ML analytics and data science initiatives.
• Ensure data governance, quality, and security compliance (e.g. GDPR).
• Work closely with stakeholders across the business to deliver data-driven insights.
• Improve data processes, automation, and system performance.

Attributes/Skills

• Strong experience in data engineering and cloud platforms.
• Proficient in SQL, Python, and Power BI (DAX, Power Query).
• Experience with data modelling, data warehousing, and ETL pipelines.
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and modern data tools.
• Previous team leadership or mentoring experience.Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
