Job summary

Cyber Security training courses is seeking a Lead Data Engineer for a fully remote UK role. You will own the data platform, design scalable cloud-based solutions and lead data product initiatives with cross‑functional teams.

Key focus areas include building robust ETL/ELT pipelines, enabling analytics with BI tools, and guiding governance, lineage and observability across the data estate. Strong AWS expertise and ML/AI data support are essential.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience designing and operating production‑grade data platforms.
  • Advanced SQL and data modelling skills.
  • Hands-on AWS experience within modern data environments.
  • Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud‑native data solutions.
  • Experience supporting Machine Learning or AI workloads through robust data engineering practices.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, lineage and observability.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence technical direction.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets within enterprise environments.

Key Experience
  • Strong experience designing and operating production-grade data platforms.
  • Advanced SQL and data modelling skills.
  • Hands-on AWS experience within modern data environments.
  • Experience building scalable ETL/ELT pipelines and cloud-native data solutions.
  • Exposure to modern BI and analytics tooling such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar.
  • Experience supporting Machine Learning or AI workloads through robust data engineering practices.
  • Knowledge of data governance, security, lineage and observability.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to influence technical direction.
  • Experience working with large, complex datasets within enterprise environments.

Any experience with Machine Learning, Statistical Modelling, AI Systems, Agentic AI or MLOps would be highly beneficial.
