Job summary

HCLTech in City of London is seeking a Lead Analytics Engineer to design and build scalable data models in Snowflake, using dbt to deliver reliable analytics.

You will migrate Teradata views, implement data quality tests, CI/CD pipelines, and optimize warehouse performance, while applying a software engineering mindset to SQL.

Qualifications

• Expert Snowflake knowledge and advanced dbt (Core/Cloud) experience.
• Semantic Modelling, Dimensional Modelling (Kimball), and Business/Logical/Physical Modelling experience.
• A software engineering mindset applied to SQL.
• Experience with Git workflows and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain scalable modular data models using dbt inside Snowflake.
• Transition complex, unoptimised Teradata views into high-performance Snowflake tables.
• Implement data quality testing, version control (Git), and CI/CD pipelines for analytics code.
• Manage Snowflake warehouse optimization, access controls (ABAC), and query performance tuning.
