Job summary

Vital Energi is seeking a Lead Cyber Security Engineer to join our Head Office in Blackburn with support to sites. You will champion security best practices, implement and guide the evolution of security controls, and lead security audits.

The role requires initiative and practical hands-on capability, with a focus on protecting critical infrastructure across renewable projects. Experience with NGAV (CrowdStrike), ISO27001 and GDPR is valued.

Qualifications

• At least 5 GCSE’s
• Information Security Experience (4 Years Minimum)

If so, we’re looking for a talented Lead Cyber Security Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Head Office in Blackburn with support to sites.

The Role

Due to Vital Energi's continued growth, we are looking for a Lead Cyber Security engineer with a passion for cyber security along with a desire to relentlessly champion best practices. The role is responsible for implementing, configuring and guiding the evolution of security. The suitable candidate will be expected to possess strong motivational skills, with the ability to work on their own initiative. This role would suit a person who wishes to develop their existing skills and make their mark in an expanding and invigorating organization.

The Company

Vital Energi is a leading provider of renewable energy infrastructure and systems to the public and private sectors. We are supporting Hospitals, Universities, New Build developments, Towns and Cities as well as Industrial and Commercial clients to decarbonise their buildings.

We have and continue to work on ground-breaking projects throughout the UK which are supporting the UK’s Net Zero targets, such as the recently announced £1 billion low‑carbon infrastructure project for Westminster.

Education & Experience

Qualifications

• Comptia Network+, Security+
• Working towards CISM

Knowledge

• Strong understanding of core security technologies
• Extensive NGAV experience (Crowdstrike preferred)
• Information Security standards (CE+, ISO27001, IEC62443)
• Data Protection knowledge (GDPR)
• ISO27001, CE+, IEC62443
