Job summary

Catering in Birmingham seeks a senior cost verification professional to lead end-to-end cost review across major infrastructure projects, with a focus on rail sector experience.

You will manage a team of cost verification professionals, engage with project delivery teams, commercial managers, contractors, and external stakeholders to resolve discrepancies and drive transparency. The role requires strong technical expertise in rail environments and clear communication to drive cost transparency.

Qualifications

• Experience in cost management and quantity surveying within major infrastructure projects.
• Current or previous experience in cost verification, cost auditing, and cost assurance.
• Ideally, experience within the rail sector, but major construction project experience will also be considered.
• Ability to lead and manage a team, providing technical leadership and ensuring the integrity of verification activities.
• Strong communication skills to engage with various stakeholders effectively.

• Providing clear, evidence-based recommendations based on thorough cost verification.
• Utilising strong technical expertise within major infrastructure, rail, station, or depot environments to operate effectively across Stakeholders.
