Job summary

Russell Taylor Group Ltd in Rotherham is seeking a seasoned Control Systems Project Manager to own and deliver automation projects from concept through commissioning, coordinating PLC, SCADA and integrated control systems. You will lead cross‑functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, build strong client relationships and ensure safe, on‑time delivery across the full project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Experience as Control Systems Engineer or SCADA Engineer with PLC/SCADA knowledge.
• Experience delivering industrial automation projects in manufacturing, utilities, energy, process industries or infrastructure.
• Previous project management experience, in PM roles or as Lead/Senior Engineer managing projects.
• Strong commercial awareness with budget, scope and change control.
• Excellent communication skills with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams and managing multiple priorities.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering successful project outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Manage full lifecycle delivery of control and automation projects.
• Lead projects involving PLC, SCADA and integrated control systems.
• Manage project scope, budgets, schedules and commercial performance.
• Coordinate engineering resources and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Build strong relationships with customers and manage expectations.
• Identify and mitigate project risks to ensure successful outcomes.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to quality standards.
• Support commissioning activities and manage close-out.
