Qualifications

• Must have excellent experience in acute adult mental health services.
• Experience in assessment and treatment of a range of mental health disorders.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant leadership and support to the inpatient team.
• Coordinate leave and cover arrangements for patients.
• Contribute to the service development of Joshua Ward.

Skills

Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team

Excellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective

Ability to manage clinical complexity and uncertainty

Good written and oral communication skills

Ability to contribute to service planning, development, and management

Formal leadership/management training

Education

Medical degree, MBBS or equivalent

Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise

Section 12 Approval (Mental Health Act)

Qualification or higher degree in medical education
