Job summary

Countryside Classroom in Birmingham is seeking a Lead to manage and develop the conservation training programme. You will deliver accredited and non-accredited learning in practical conservation and wider nature recovery skills, from species identification to habitat management.

Based in the Centre of the Earth, Birmingham, with travel across Birmingham and the Black Country, you will lead a team of staff, volunteers and trainees, build partnerships, and help secure funding to expand nature

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop BBCWT's conservation training programme, delivering accredited and non-accredited learning opportunities.
• Deliver training in practical conservation skills, including habitat management, species identification and tool use.
• Design and manage biodiversity enhancement and habitat creation projects.
• Manage and support project staff, volunteers and trainees.
• Build relationships with partners, communities and funders to expand opportunities for nature recovery and skills development.
• Contribute to income generation through funding applications, tenders and contracts.
