Job summary

Breedon Group is seeking a Concrete Plant Supervisor in the United Kingdom to oversee mobile batching plants, ensuring materials are produced to precise mix designs and quality standards. You will work within a safety-focused team, coordinating with quarry operatives and site supervisors to keep production efficient and compliant.

The role requires hands-on operation, maintenance tasks, and accurate recording of production data while maintaining high housekeeping and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Reliable, detail-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn.
• Experience operating batching plants is desirable.
• Understanding of concrete mix designs and QC standards.
• Experience with computerised batching control systems.
• Strong fault-finding and mechanical awareness.

Responsibilities

• Operate and control mobile concrete batching plants in line with production schedules.
• Accurately batch materials to meet approved concrete mix design specifications.
• Monitor plant performance, moisture content, slump and production output to ensure quality.
• Carry out routine plant inspections and basic preventative maintenance checks.
• Adjust plant settings to maintain product quality and efficiency.
• Record production data, stock levels, delivery documentation and QC results accurately.
• Coordinate with quarry operatives, drivers and site supervisors for smooth operations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental and quality standards at all times.
• Identify and report plant faults or material issues promptly.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards across the concrete plant.
