Job summary

Koala FX LTD in Greater London is seeking a Compositing Supervisor to lead the final look of our projects. You will work closely with the VFX Supervisor, filmmakers, and department heads to establish and deliver the film’s look, staying hands-on in Nuke and supporting tools to maintain quality.

You will mentor the team, review shots, and develop modular workflows, exploring new AI-driven compositing techniques and innovative methods to push visual boundaries while ensuring on-time delivery.

Job description

The role:

Be part of an agile team creating work that makes an impact. You will work closely with the VFX Supervisor, filmmakers, and Heads of Department to establish and deliver the final look of the film.

As Compositing Supervisor, you will lead the final look and develop compositing solutions across the project. You will remain hands-on, working in Nuke and other necessary software to develop technical solutions and workflows that maintain the expected look and quality of the film.

You will mentor and guide the team, monitor shots and deliveries, and help solve complex creative and technical challenges. You will also explore new and often unconventional methods, researching and implementing the latest AI-driven solutions, including depth and relighting, smart mattes, Wan 2.5 Animate, and Gaussian splatting.

You will be expected to develop and publish procedural, modular tools and workflows that can be used and built upon by other artists.
