A leading insurance provider in the UK is seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to enhance their cloud capabilities while driving best practices across engineering teams. The position involves operational oversight, continuous improvements, and mentoring. The ideal candidate will possess solid AWS experience and relevant certifications, with a competitive salary up to £75,000 and a hybrid work arrangement.
We have a new opportunity for a Lead Cloud Engineer to join us. Reporting into the Platform Engineering Manager, you’ll be responsible for the safe adoption of our managed IaaS cloud through improving delivery best practice across our engineering teams and performing tech leadership in AWS hosted Managed Public IaaS (MPI) solutions. You’ll drive continuous improvements in our AWS cloud capability through technical excellence, operational oversight, resilience improvements and quality assurance. You’ll be able to demonstrate solid AWS experience and comprehensive skills in Virtual Machine configuration management and have strong awareness of good operational management principles.
At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least two days a week (40%) away from home, moving to three days a week (60%) in the future. Away from home means either attendance at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.
