Are you ready to take the next step in your veterinary career? An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dynamic and experienced RCVS-registered Veterinary Surgeon to join a proudly mixed practice as Lead Clinical Director (Small Animal). This is your chance to guide a passionate and diverse team, drive excellence in patient care, and help shape the direction of a well-established, forward-thinking practice.

Nestled in the heart of the Scottish Borders, this practice offers more than just a job — it offers a lifestyle surrounded by rolling countryside, stunning views, and a true sense of community. Established in the 1960s, it has grown into a modern, purpose-built facility complete with equine stables, a dedicated small farm animal area, and state-of-the-art surgical and consultation spaces.

This practice is both RCVS-accredited and proud to hold ISFM Gold Status, reflecting their commitment to the highest standards, particularly in feline care. With a strong mixed caseload, including a solid farm base and an ever-growing companion animal clientele, the practice also houses the UK’s leading stem cell, regenerative medicine and rehabilitation clinic, attracting referral cases from across the country.

As Lead Clinical Director, you’ll play a key clinical and strategic role within the Small Animal department. You’ll be responsible for inspiring and supporting your team, upholding clinical standards, and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Your leadership will help steer the practice through its next phase of growth, following recent significant investment in both facilities and services.

I am looking for someone with a strong track record in both clinical excellence and leadership. Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, client-focused ethos are essential, along with confidence in all aspects of small animal work.
