We are looking to recruit high value expertise from across regulated and comparable sectors to work in a collaborative environment. PPP is delivering major projects, site wide improvements and provision of supporting services. We provide the front end design and engineering capability across the PPP portfolio. Being part of the PPP Team offers a unique opportunity to drive change and innovation in engineering, safety and delivery solutions in one of the most complex industrial sites in the UK if not the world. We are looking for people who are passionate about developing themselves and in meeting new challenges.

Responsibilities & Qualifications
  • Delivery of the civil engineering design associated with the Enabling works (services diversions and land remediation) to allow the new facility to be constructed on a brownfield site, whilst enabling surrounding facilities to remain functional.
  • Defining the civil engineering requirements (basis of design) for the Enabling works and new facility.
  • Inputting into the layouts being developed by the mechanical and process engineering team (e.g. below ground services connections, drainage, flood risk, road access).
  • Reviewing the existing site data and inputting into the land preparation / enabling works. In particular, working with key stakeholders to determine the most appropriate solutions for below ground services removal, retention or diversion taking cognisance of our permanent requirements.
  • Inputting into environmental remediation strategy (e.g. cut and fill strategy, materials management plan). The existing site is brownfield and will require significant site investigation and remediation prior to new construction works being undertaken.
  • Advising on drainage strategy for the site incorporating any flood risk requirements.
  • Reviewing site access logistics (e.g. road layouts).
  • Develop appropriate deliverables list and format (drawings, specifications, reports, BIM etc.).
  • Leading co-ordination and collaboration with other engineering disciplines and wider stakeholders (particularly below ground services co-ordination).
  • Work with the CS&A RE and Lead engineers to develop design and construction strategy for the project (e.g. programme, deliverables, resource forecasting).
  • A degree qualified (BEng or MEng), Civil Engineer.
  • Chartership Membership of either Institution of Civil Engineers and/or the Institution of Structural Engineers.
  • Experience in the design and detailing of highways & drainage, street works, public works, SUDS, building drainage, utilities coordination/diversion of services.
