Job summary

Peter Duffy Limited, part of United Infrastructure, seeks a Design Manager to lead an in-house team of designers and oversee design processes across civil and infrastructure projects. You will ensure compliance with quality standards and safety, while coordinating inputs from multiple disciplines to deliver accurate drawings, reports and specifications.

The role emphasizes health & safety leadership, design governance, programming, and collaboration with Project Managers and clients to maintain

Qualifications

• Directly manage an in-house team of designers.
• Promote and develop design processes with technical excellence.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety regulations (CDM 2015).
• Coordinate multi-discipline inputs and design reviews.
• Support project delivery through planning, programming and commercial awareness.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design solutions at various project stages.
• Produce drawings, reports, specifications and estimates.
• Manage document control and project records.
• Attend meetings and review team output for accuracy.
• Provide monthly updates to Engineering Director and Framework Managers.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians.
