Job summary

Brook Street in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Team Leader for our Children's Residential Homes across Birmingham. You will lead shifts, supervise staff, and safeguard the welfare of children in our care.

The role requires NVQ Level 3/4 in Residential Childcare or equivalent, plus a minimum of 1 year of senior experience. A Full UK Driving Licence and flexibility to work across Birmingham homes are essential.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or 4 in Residential Childcare, Health & Social Care or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year's senior experience within a children's residential home.
• Full UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home.
• Supervise, guide and support Residential Support Workers.
• Safeguard and promote the welfare of children and young people.
• Support emotional wellbeing, behaviour, education and independence.
• Ensure care plans, risk assessments and behaviour support plans are followed.
• Manage challenging situations and support de-escalation.
• Complete and oversee records, reports and handovers.
• Work alongside social workers, education, health professionals and families.
• Support management with Ofsted compliance and high standards of care.
