Sanctuary Personnel is seeking a Lead Child Protection Practitioner in Gloucestershire to lead safeguarding work, oversee complex cases, and guide professionals with expert decision-making.

You will chair statutory safeguarding meetings, oversee Section 47 inquiries, and provide leadership and mentoring to Children's Services staff. A Social Work degree and SWE registration are required for this role.

Qualifications

• Degree in Social Work, DipSW, CQSW, or equivalent recognised qualification.
• Evidence of continuing professional development in safeguarding and child protection.
• Current registration with SWE (Social Work England).
• Significant post-qualification experience in statutory children’s social care.

Responsabilités

• Lead and oversee complex child protection cases, providing safeguarding guidance and decision-making.
• Chair statutory safeguarding meetings, strategy discussions and planning meetings.

• Advanced training in child protection, risk assessment, or safeguarding leadership is desirable.
• Current registration with Social Work England SWE.
• Significant post-qualification experience within statutory children’s social care.
• Extensive experience in child protection, safeguarding, and complex case management.
