Job description

An opportunity has arisen at The Crossways Schools for a reliable and flexible lead caretaker to join our team, who is keen to make a difference and assist with maintaining the premises and grounds to a high standard. This role would be 25 hours per week with a suggested work pattern of 6.30am - 11.30am but we can be flexible with this for the right candidate. This is an all year round role.

Job overview
  • As a key part of our site team, you’ll have responsibility for general site maintenance, using a varied skillset to carry out tasks such as fire testing and inspections to meet H&S compliance, refilling consumables, painting and decorating and manual handling, as well as ensuring the site is in a good condition for all to work and learn effectively.
Job requirements
  • Good standard of maintenance and DIY experience with an understanding of health and safety parameters.
  • Experience of working within an operational environment to provide day-to-day maintenance support.
  • Ability to prioritise and plan own workload.
