Job summary

Oxford Health NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist to join Melksham Community CAMHS and lead a multidisciplinary team at Melksham Community Hospital in Wiltshire.

You will provide clinical input and leadership for a redesigned service delivering targeted mental health care to children and young people with severe needs. The role includes risk assessment, carer needs, and service development within the team.

Qualifications

• Medical degree and Full GMC registration are essential.
• Eligible for GMC Specialist Register within 6 months of interview.
• Eligible for Section 12 Approval/Approved Clinician status.
• Desirable: MSc or higher degree; RC Psych Membership/Fellowship.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical leadership and medical input to the team.
• Lead clinical governance within the team as clinical leads.
• Assess emergencies and manage care within the multidisciplinary team.
• Contribute to teaching, quality improvement, and service development.
