Job summary

Canvas Careers in Chelsea, London, an internationally recognised interior design studio, seeks a CAD Manager to own the CAD environment, drawing standards, and lead software support and workflow improvements. You will produce and review detailed drawing packages, coordinate SketchUp models and 2D information, and manage transitions if AutoCAD/Vectorworks templates need migrating, training the team.

Qualifications

Advanced skills in AutoCAD and Vectorworks.
Strong understanding of interior construction, joinery detailing and technical drawing conventions.
Confident producing and checking detailed construction drawing packages.
Experience improving workflows through automation, templates, libraries and drawing standards.
Able to evaluate software and processes and present clear recommendations to senior management.
Comfortable training and supporting colleagues, ideally through a software implementation or transition.
Highly organised, with excellent attention to detail and the ability to support multiple projects.
Experience in high-end residential or hospitality would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

Take ownership of the studio’s CAD environment and drawing standards.
Produce and review detailed drawing packages.
Ensure SketchUp models and 2D construction information remain coordinated.
Review how the studio uses AutoCAD and Vectorworks and lead the transition if a platform change is needed; migrate templates and libraries and train the team.
