Client Server Limited is seeking a Lead C# Developer / Backend Software Engineer (C# .Net) in Newcastle on-site. You will lead the design and implementation of core applications, APIs and microservices while mentoring the team and guiding architectural decisions.

This senior role requires strong leadership, a deep understanding of SDLC, and hands-on practice with modern C# .Net Core; Python and other OO languages are a plus.

Lead C# Developer / Backend Software Engineer (C# .Net) Newcastle onsite to £130k

Do you have expertise with backend C# combined with strong technical leadership skills?

You could be progressing your career in a hands-on Lead C# Developer role at a well-funded Fintech scale-up.

As a Lead C# Developer / Backend Software Engineer you'll design and implement the logic behind core applications, build APIs and microservices that handle data processing, business rules and third-party integrations and oversee the configuration and upkeep of secure, reliable server environments.

You'll work closely with internal teams and customers to gather detailed requirements through meetings and workshops and help shape the product vision and roadmap by offering technical insight and feasibility guidance, remaining hands-on with architecture and design.

You will be a technical leader, instilling best practices, conducting code reviews, mentoring and collaboratively problem solving to help your team remove any blockers and delivery high quality software.

Location:

You'll join colleagues in Central Newcastle offices on a full-time basis (Monday to Friday), working hours 0900-1800 with some flexibility. The offices are well equipped and offer fantastic views across the City and the local countryside, many employees walk or cycle in (onsite showers available!).

About you:

• You have achieved a minimum 2.1 BSc in Computer Science or similar technical discipline from a top tier / Russel Group university, backed by A's at A-level
• You have strong technical leadership skills
• You have expertise with modern C# .Net Core, Python skills would also be of benefit (will also consider other OO languages e.g. C++, Java)
• You have a strong knowledge of modern software engineering best practices and have experience across the full software development lifecycle
• You're a technologist who enjoys collaborating and problem solving, working on complex, distributed systems
• You have a thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, Algorithms
