Job summary

The Royal Household is seeking a Senior Building Surveyor to lead and deliver surveying across the London Estate, including Buckingham Palace. You will manage surveys, landlord duties, and project works while guiding a team of surveyors, decorators, and contractors.

You will drive Net Zero initiatives, energy performance reviews and sustainable material strategies, ensuring legacy buildings are protected yet adapted for modern efficiency.

Qualifications

• Chartered Building Surveyor with a proven track record in complex, occupied estates.
• Experience with historic and listed buildings is essential.
• Strong project, contract and budget management expertise.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Technical Team of Building Surveyors and drive surveying strategy across the Estate.
• Protect, maintain and enhance Buckingham Palace and surrounding London Estate assets.
• Develop energy performance reviews and net zero initiatives to meet sustainability goals.
• Ensure statutory compliance and manage budgets, contracts and contractors.
