Job description

Lead BMS Engineer

Location: Flagship Canary Wharf Site

Salary: Up to £70,000 + Benefits

We are seeking a highly skilled BMS Engineer to join a flagship corporate site in Canary Wharf. This is a unique opportunity for a proactive specialist to take ownership of the building's BMS (Distech) and play a critical role in driving efficiency, innovation, and performance improvement.

As the Lead BMS Engineer, you will work independently on-site, liaising directly with the energy management team and stakeholders. You'll need to be client-facing, able to hold your own in meetings, and confident in delivering improvements across a high-profile environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Full ownership and management of the site's Distech BMS.
  • Proactively using the system to enhance building performance (e.g. linking CO₂ levels to plant activity).
  • Acting as the technical authority for BMS, ensuring critical spares are in place and systems operate at peak efficiency.
  • Liaising with specialist subcontractors and internal energy management teams.
  • Driving continuous improvement, challenging and influencing stakeholders.
  • Acting above the level of a standard maintenance role - combining technical expertise with a solutions-driven mindset.
What We're Looking For
  • Experienced BMS Engineer with strong electrical or controls background.
  • Proven ability to work independently in a corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of Distech BMS preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the confidence to engage directly with clients.
  • Proactive, innovative, and solutions-focused approach.
Why Apply
  • Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week.
  • Permanent position on a prestigious flagship site with long-term contract security.
  • Single-site role in Canary Wharf - no travel required.
  • Opportunity to be the dedicated Lead BMS Engineer on one of the UK's most high-profile sites.

This role requires someone who can work independently, influence key stakeholders, and drive building performance improvements. If you are a BMS Engineer looking for the chance to take real ownership and make a measurable impact, this flagship opportunity is not to be missed
