Job summary

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation seeking a Senior Principal Biostatistician in Reading to lead statistical methodologies and ensure data integrity and regulatory compliance across clinical studies.

You will oversee biostatistics workstreams, design analysis plans, mentor junior statisticians, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support regulatory submissions and publications.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Biostatistics or related field.
• Extensive experience in biostatistics within pharma/biotech, especially trial design/analysis.
• Strong knowledge of SAS and R; programming for data analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead statistical methodologies for clinical studies ensuring data integrity and regulatory compliance.
• Oversee biostatistics workstreams; ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
• Design and implement analysis plans for clinical trials per objectives and guidelines.
• Mentor junior statisticians and provide training on methods and software.
• Contribute to regulatory submissions and publications with rigorous statistics.
• Stay updated on advances to drive innovative study design and analysis.
• Support protocol development and statistical input on endpoints.
