Client Server in Reigate is seeking a Lead Backend Software Engineer to own the design and delivery of complex C# .Net Core services in a SaaS platform deployed on Azure. You will mentor a small team of senior engineers, shape technical direction and ensure scalable, secure cloud resources.

This hybrid role combines hands-on coding with stakeholder collaboration; you’ll work from the Reigate office twice weekly and enjoy remote work on other days.

Lead Backend Software Engineer / Developer (C# .Net Azure SaaS) Reigate / WFH to £100k

Are you a backend focussed C# technologist with an indepth knowledge of Azure?

You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands on role at a global InsurTech business that is producing game changing technology.

As a Lead Backend Software Engineer you'll collaborate, problem solve and provide technical leadership to a small team of other senior engineers to build the 1st generation of a highly complex SaaS platform.

There are many technical challenges, you'll work across the full development lifecycle, liaising with senior stakeholders to discover and break down requirements, through to design and development of complex, data driven features and applications, taking ownership and working independently to deliver secure cloud based resources, solutions and services.

Location / WFH:

There's a flexible work from home hybrid model, you'll join colleagues in the Reigate office twice a week for team meet-ups and stakeholder meetings with the other three days work from home.

About you:

• You have expertise with C# .Net Core backend software development, having worked on large, scalable systems with complexity
• You have a strong knowledge of Azure and SaaS
• You have technical project leadership experience
• You're an advocate of creating, clean, reusable and maintainable code and have a good knowledge of modern Microsoft software engineering best practices
• You have a good knowledge of security and IAM in Azure
• You have a thorough understanding of Computer Science fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patters, Algorithms
• You have a good understanding of CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
• You're likely to be degree educated in a relevant STEM discipline
