Job summary

Client Server Limited is seeking a Lead Backend Engineer to design and implement APIs and microservices, and lead backend teams in Newcastle. The role involves collaborating with clients, shaping product roadmaps, and ensuring secure, scalable server environments.

You will work across languages such as C#, .NET, Python, and TypeScript, with exposure to cloud platforms and CI/CD. The position is onsite in Newcastle with opportunities for career growth and exciting FinTech projects.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2.1 BSc in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong software engineering experience with C#, .Net, Python, TS, and other languages.
• Consultancy experience with client relationships and business acumen.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement logic behind core applications and APIs/microservices.
• Oversee secure, reliable server environments and deployment pipelines.
• Mentor and lead the backend team, conduct code reviews and drive best practices.
• Engage with clients to gather requirements and shape product roadmaps.
