Qualifications

Job description

Due to continuing success this well established company is now actively looking to recruit an experienced, hard-working Asbestos Lead Surveyor/Fire Risk Assessor to join their team in the London region. Applications from Dartford, Epsom, Crawley, Woking, the surrounding areas will be considered.

Qualifications & Experience

The applicant must hold the P402 or the equivalent RSPH qualification.

  • Previous experience working in this role within the asbestos industry.
  • Must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Will be fully conversant with the asbestos Health & Safety procedures.
  • Be proficient in using the Microsoft Package.
  • Must hold the NEBOSH Fire Certificate or NEBOSH Fire Conversion – ISE/IFSM/IFPO/IFE registered- or Fire trained-NVQ levels.
  • Practical experience of undertaking fire risk assessments.
  • Have previous experience from a technical, construction, fire service or consultancy background.
  • In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety procedures.
Key Role
  • Undertake Fire Risk, Health & Safety Risk Assessments in a variety of industry sectors – commercial, industrial and residential.
  • Deal with Fire plan drawings, fire drills, fire wardens, use of extinguishers, real fire training, briefings etc.
  • Undertake asbestos Management, Refurbishment/Demolition surveys on various properties, including commercial and industrial.
  • Collating and producing comprehensive asbestos reports.
  • Building and maintaining a good working relationship with the company’s mixed portfolio of clients.
  • Managing and training of staff.
  • Carrying out consultancy duties as and when required.
  • Assisting in managing projects – preparing fee proposals – technical co-ordination and auditing – in line with the company’s procedures.
