Job summary

Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Applied Psychologist/ Highly Specialist Applied Psychologist to join the Middlesbrough MHSOP community mental health team on a fixed-term basis (10 months).

The role involves neuropsychological assessments, formulations and psychological interventions with older adults, supervision of trainees, and leadership within a multi-disciplinary team in secondary care. HCPC registration and doctoral level training are required.

Qualifications

• Post-graduate/ doctoral level training in clinical, counselling or forensic psychology.
• HCPC registration as a Practitioner Psychologist.
• Training in clinical supervision and care co-ordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Middlesbrough MHSOP team in neuropsych assessments, formulations and interventions.
• Supervise trainees and staff; participate in audits, teaching and training.
• Collaborate with psychology colleagues and MDT to embed formulations and interventions.
