Job description
Brief info about Vinted

Our mission is to make second‑hand the first choice, and we're looking for people who want to help us get there. Every day, we work together to help our members buy and sell pre‑loved clothing and lifestyle items, giving each piece a second life – or even a third.

The Vinted Group is made up of three business units that support this mission:

  • Vinted Marketplace is Europe’s leading platform for second‑hand fashion and a go‑to destination for all kinds of pre‑loved items, with a growing range of categories. Our platform connects millions of members across 20+ markets, helping great items find a new life.
  • Vinted Go enhances the shipping experience with a vast network of over 500,000 pick‑up and drop‑off points, partnering with more than 60 carriers across Europe, with added services like item verification for peace of mind on high‑value pieces.
  • Vinted Pay is the newest part of the Vinted Group, dedicated to bringing secure, reliable payments to buyers and sellers across Europe. Seamlessly integrated into the Vinted app, it helps keep every transaction safe, efficient, and easy for our members.

Founded in 2008 in Lithuania, Vinted began as a way for friends to find new homes for clothes they no longer needed. In 2019, we became Lithuania’s first unicorn! Today, our headquarters remain in Vilnius, and we’ve grown with offices across Europe, supported by a team of over 2,000 people. Our backers include Accel, EQT Growth, Insight Partners, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Sprints, and TPG.

Information about the position

As a Lead Analytics Engineer in the Buyer–Supply–MLC area, you will act as the technical leader for Analytics Engineering across three domains. This is not just about building pipelines and models yourself, but about shaping the direction, enabling others, and maximizing the impact of our data investments.

In this position, you’ll

  • Enable other Analytics Engineers by setting best practices, reviewing design decisions, and helping them make sustainable data modeling choices that support rapid growth in data volume and complexity.
  • Provide technical leadership on broad, less‑defined initiatives, bringing structure, clarity, and a concrete roadmap that others can execute against.
  • Spot opportunities for value creation across domains by identifying under‑used datasets, efficiency gaps, or new use cases that data can unlock.
  • Drive to optimisation and cost monitoring, ensuring pipelines and models remain performant and cost‑efficient as scale grows.
  • Assist in shaping the roadmap for Analytics Engineering in Buyer–Supply–MLC, aligning priorities with stakeholders and ensuring coherence across domains.
  • Work with ML‑powered features and training data needs, ensuring that the underlying data pipelines meet the freshness, quality, and observability standards required for data teams.
  • Enable sustainable data growth by designing models and frameworks that can evolve with new initiatives (multi‑verticalisation, B2C, personalisation, etc.).
About you
  • At least 6 years of related experience as an Analytics Engineer, Data Engineer, or ETL Developer, ideally in a complex, high‑volume environment.
  • Proven experience in scaling impact by enabling and guiding others — for example, through technical leadership, mentoring, or driving alignment across teams.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL (performance tuning, readability, maintainability).
  • Experience with dbt, Airflow, BigQuery, Looker, CI/CD.
  • Skills in Python (you write code that has a clear architecture that is easily tested).
  • Experience with high‑volume, multi‑source data (CDC, events) and downstream destinations (dashboards, ML models, experimentation metrics, data products).
  • Demonstrated ability to build scalable, optimised and sustainable data models.
  • Knowledge about near real‑time data processing (e.g. trade‑offs between Kappa and Lambda architecture, stream processing through Apache Kafka and Flink).
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a track record of aligning multiple stakeholders and leading cross‑domain initiatives.
  • Strong problem‑solving and optimisation mindset, balancing speed, cost, and quality.
  • Excellent written and spoken English.
Work perks
  • The opportunity to benefit from our share options programme
  • 30 days of paid annual leave
  • Newest MacBook models
  • Digital mental and emotional health support and Employee Assistant Program (EAP)
  • Home office support: we provide IT workstation equipment and a personal budget of up to €540 for home workplace furniture
  • A daily lunch allowance
  • Frequent team‑building events
  • A personal monthly budget for shopping on Vinted
  • A subsidised gym membership with ClassPass or Urban Sports Club
  • A subsidised pension plan provided by Vinted
  • Hallesche Supplemental health insurance
  • Life and disability insurance provided
