Job Description Summary

At GE Aerospace our Field Service Engineer (FSE) are the embodiment of our core behaviours. Primarily they are permanent at the customer's location, supporting them with on‑site technical troubleshooting and fleet management problem solving.

Key Responsibilities

Our FSEs embody our mission, embedded within the customer's site, delivering exceptional service and support. Operating autonomously and remotely from GE Aerospace hubs to resolve technical challenges and drive success, directly in support of our customers fleets. More specifically, you will:

  • Provide Leadership and Technical Support: Offer technical direction and assistance to the customer's operation, inspections, maintenance, and repair of assigned fleets.
  • Customer Advocacy: Deliver prompt, effective solutions that address customer issues and exceed their expectations, driving loyalty and long‑term partnerships.
  • Monitor and Improve Reliability: Track reliability and on‑wing performance, including significant events, engine removals, delays, and cancellations. Influence airline stakeholders to implement critical reliability improvements.
  • Enhance Maintenance Planning: Influence maintenance planning to ensure the stability of the aircraft engine fleet.
  • Evaluate Maintenance Effectiveness: Review the effectiveness of maintenance actions to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Apply FLIGHT DECK: Utilise our FLIGHT DECK principles to deliver continuous improvement, identifying proactive reliability enhancements.
  • Data Analytics and Reporting: Produce data analytics and timely reports on fleet status, program updates, events, and trends for key internal stakeholders.
  • Proactive Maintenance Recommendations: Provide recommendations for proactive maintenance based on engine performance analytics.

Required Qualifications and Characteristics
  • A Bachelor of Engineering or technical degree from an accredited university or college (or relevant work experience).
  • Experience in airline operations or maintenance planning, engineering, aviation propulsion, or a related field.
  • Technical expertise in aircraft engine or turbomachinery equipment.
  • Experience using software or data analytics to make informed technical decisions and provide recommendations to customers and stakeholders.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, capable of forging deep relationships at all levels.
