Job summary

WeBuild-AI in London is seeking a Lead AI Engineer to design, develop, and deploy innovative AI solutions that transform enterprise clients. You will leverage modern language models, agent frameworks, and the Pathway platform to deliver high-impact applications.

Expect freedom to experiment and push AI boundaries while guiding teams to scalable, secure implementations. You will mentor mid-level and junior engineers, ensure strong software engineering practices, and collaborate with data

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and deploying production-grade AI/ML or LLM systems.
• Strong Python development experience with AI tooling.
• Experience with cloud AI services (AWS/Azure) and model deployment workflows.
• Solid MLOps practices, containerisation and orchestration.
• Familiarity with observation and tracing tools for AI systems.
• Excellent communication and ability to work with clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of AI solutions using language models and agent frameworks.
• Implement and customise agent frameworks for production-grade systems.
• Integrate AI capabilities with client systems and data sources.
• Translate client requirements into scalable, secure AI applications.
• Mentor junior engineers and ensure technical quality across projects.
• Support clients with AI adoption and safe implementation practices.
• Contribute to evolution of Pathway platform and engineering standards.
• Stay current with emerging AI tools and improve team workflows.
