Job summary

Redgate is seeking a hands-on technical leader to steer a small cross-functional team focused on building the next generation of AI capabilities for database administration. You will work alongside a Tech Lead, Product Designer, Product Manager, and 4–5 engineers, shaping architectural decisions and delivery across Redgate’s tooling.

Based in Cambridge with a hybrid in-office pattern (twice a month on-site), you’ll drive complex engineering initiatives, mentor engineers, and ensure the team

Qualifications

• Experience designing, building, and operating scalable, secure software systems.
• Proven track record of leading complex engineering work across teams.
• Proficiency in .NET/C#, Python, or TypeScript with deep expertise in at least one.
• Strong communication and ability to mentor others.

Responsibilities

• Lead the AI capability initiative for database professionals.
• Own engineering quality and drive best practices.
• Collaborate across teams and inform product-level technical strategy.
• Set and deliver quarterly goals with Tech Lead and Product Manager.
