Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Yeovil is seeking an Advanced Project Engineer to lead aerospace electronic controller projects. The role combines electronics/embedded software coordination with project leadership across multidisciplinary teams, including cost and risk management, with a 3 days in-office/2 days remote schedule and travel to UK/Europe.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in electronics, software, aerospace engineering or a related field.
• Experience in digital/analogue electronics design and/or embedded software design.
• Experience in requirements and configuration management, quality standards and documentation to aerospace product levels.
• Experience in project management using planning tools (e.g., Microsoft Project).
• Experience developing management operating systems per AS9100 or aerospace quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, qualification and compliance of multiple aerospace electronic products from concept to production.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electronics, firmware and software engineers to meet requirements.
• Control project scope: schedule, budget and risk; manage changes and baselines.
• Manage design and phase gate reviews and progress reporting with stakeholders and customers.
• Provide engineering cost and effort estimates to proposals to win new business.
• Ensure compliance with requirements, quality processes and procedures.
• Partner with diverse teams locally and globally to achieve results.
