Job summary

Bolton NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting an Addiction Team Lead Nurse to head and develop the Integrated Addiction Service, supervise a team of practitioners, and deliver evidence-based care for patients experiencing addiction.

The role focuses on nurse-led clinics, safeguarding, non-medical prescribing, audit and service improvement, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and community services to reduce hospital admissions.

Qualifications

• Lead and develop integrated addiction services
• Staff supervision and training
• Clinical governance and safeguarding

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop the Integrated Addiction Service and supervise the practitioner team
• Run nurse-led clinics, assess and manage patient care, and support safe withdrawal practices
• Develop clinical pathways, protocols and audits to improve service performance
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and community services to reduce hospital admissions
• Provide staff education, mentorship and non-medical prescribing where appropriate
• Ensure safeguarding, quality improvement and alignment with organisational standards
