Job summary

Exemplar Health Care is seeking a Lead Activities Coordinator at Lakeview care home in Wigan. You will lead the Activities Team, organise creative and meaningful activities, and help residents live fulfilled lives with dignity and independence.

You’ll develop individual activity plans, run group events and encourage residents to pursue hobbies, education and community involvement. Experience in a similar role is desirable.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership and team supervisory ability in a care setting.
• Ability to design engaging activities aligned to residents’ goals.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with residents and staff.

Join us as our new Lead Activities Coordinator/Life Skills Coordinator at Lakeview care home in Wigan., Our Lead Activities Coordinators lead our Activities Team and organise creative and fun activities for the people we support. No two days will ever be the same, but your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• organising individual activity plans based on people's unique goals and interests
• fostering community spirit through group activities
• supporting people to maintain their current, and take up new, hobbies, interests and educational opportunities
• assisting people to become more involved in their local community
• celebrating national awareness days, holidays and individual/collective achievements
• leading the in-house Activities Team
• promoting choice, dignity and independence.
