Job summary

North Lakes Children's Services is launching a brand-new 4-bed residential home in Carlisle and seeks an experienced Registered Manager to lead the service from day one. As Residential Registered Manager, you will ensure Ofsted compliance, safeguard young people, and develop a high-performing team while delivering outstanding, therapeutic care within a nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Residential Childcare or equivalent.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (or equivalent).
• Full, clean UK driving licence required.
• Experience working with children and young people in care.
• Previous management experience in children's residential services.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong leadership and management of the home and staff.
• Ensure Statement of Purpose reflects service delivery.
• Maintain Ofsted compliance and safeguarding requirements.
• Monitor and drive service quality and standards.
• Lead staff supervision, performance management and development.
• Identify training needs and support delivery of staff training.
• Ensure effective communication across the team.
• Manage budgets and resources efficiently.
• Maintain records and administrative systems.
• Uphold safeguarding, equality and confidentiality standards.
• Oversee health and safety and keep the home well-maintained.
• Support induction and development of new staff.
• Create a positive culture delivering strong outcomes for young people.
